Last week, our team got together and spent a couple of mornings volunteering at the Blueberry Hills Community Garden weeding and planting. 100% of the vegetables, fruits and herbs that they grow are donated to Home Suite Hope’s families and Kerr Street Ministries. Tucked behind the Upper Oakville Shopping Centre, the garden is overseen by Ken Stockstill and run by volunteers. Some of the veggies currently growing include potatoes, cabbage, zucchini, lettuces, beans, rhubarb, green onions and more. Harvests are made available at Kerr Street Mission where HSH clients and others from the community can share in the bounty.
